Well I gathered from the lack of responses to my earlier post about messing up the stain on my S&G panels that y'all agreed with the 'train wreck' diagnosis. It looks like that's indeed true. I tried to dab stain onto the bare patches and blend it in to the edges and suceeded only in making the panels look like they have Psoriasis. My next strategy is to add more stain to the back 3 feet or so on each side to try and match the darker shade all around but I'm resigned to probably having to order new panels and re-build the whole deck. It's depressing but I guess that's what I get for trying to get too fancy on my first boat. Damn, I had the fit just perfect too.

Note to Self: Baby sit the fresh glue-up next time and wipe up ALL drips until it sets. No scraping on stained panels either.
