question for joe or any of you who have/have used the king with the roller recessed cockpit. after reading "deep trouble" it appears the some swamped kayaks sit so low in the water that the cockpit rim is below the waterline. with front and rear bulkheads secure and hatches secure (ie no water in the bow and stern compartments but say 50 or 75 pounds of gear) and a completely flooded cockpit, would the coaming still be above the waterline?
