I have been putting a few strips on my expedition single project. I have been stapling like a demented rattle snake on a bad hair day. I have noticed that stapling unsupported strips (ie around my naff butt joins - but they are so easy to do that there is sometimes quite ugly tear out on the off side.

If I hadn't double taped the inside of my guillemot s&g inside seams I might be a little nervous.

But man, stapling the awkward bits sure saved some time and whapping it with the staple gun sure felt good and helped the tricky bits comply.

On reflection the staple gun was a dirty trick, but it did the job.

You can feel better for putting in the extra yards and will benefit from the experience. Well done. If kayak building was too easy, where would the little challenges be??
