I see someone suggested bleach below, this would probably help a lot, might attack the wood though and might not remove all the mildew unless you let it soak for a long time.

I myself cleaned some mildewed sheets, which sat around for six months while I pursued other projects, with deck cleaner purchased form Home Depot, marketed for cleaning/bleaching patio decks. It is not mere chlorine, it has other foul chemicals in it, but works quite well. My sheets came clean in about 5 minutes, and were about 99% perfect, and I didnt have to remove any material in the process.

Whatever you use, use rubber gloves, and do it outside.

: I finally got around to hanging some racks from the ceiling to get my long
: pieces of spare wood off the floor. My stack of scrap Okoume was off the
: floor but next to the back garage door where water seeps in every time it
: rains hard. The wood has a lot of mildew on it. Is there anything you can
: to to get that off or should I just trash it?

: Thanks,

: Patsy
