: tool. I picked up an old Crafsman 12" without a motor or stand for
: cheap. After getting it running I used it to rip strips and have used it
: nearly every day when stripping to trim angled ends (such as when
: finishing out the football). If I could have had it running from the
: beginning I wouldn't have needed to buy a jigsaw for cutting forms.

: And the next best thing that I aquired in the shop was a new bandsaw blade
: (only $11 and I wish I had known they were than cheap from the start).

I don't think Donnie will be selling it any time soon. Even if he does, he says he has 5 of them, so if the current one goes, I'll just make an offer for another. I also own two old blowers from furnaces I had replaced. Those motors have enough gusto to drive a home-build easily so I can always take that route. Seems like I'll be getting more serious about building in the near future. I figure in a couple of years, after enough paddling, I'll work out what I want in a kayak and be able to build my dream yak.
