In hindsite, I saw that you're refering to a SOF. I used epoxy on my SOF and it worked out great. My next SOF will have epoxy on the botton and some kind of varnish mix on the sides and deck. The epoxy does maintain it's flexability. It gets like thin cardboard. I used Polyester as a fabric from Dyson. 10 oz.

Most of what I said still applies to fabric with the Graphite. Mater of fact, I believe the cloth saturated with epoxy on the bottom will give you a lot more abrasion resistance than a varnish mix and Graphite.
