can we talk about stripping methods?
Now that I'm starting to get serious about building a stripper, I'm seeing that there are different "styles" or methods of stripping. How many are there and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Here's all I know - please chime in and educate me. :-)
1. Strip sides, then center line and then fill in two "footballs" on each side of center.
Advantages: Easier to get straight line in center?
Disadvantages: More pieces to fit?
2. Strip from each side to the center football, cutting a staight line down the center.
Advantages: ?
Diadvantages: ?
3. Herringbone (deck only?) Lay a band of a few strips on each side and then do herringbone pattern in the center.
Advantages: Unique look. Can use short pieces.
Diadvantages: Need extra support to hold up small strips. Have to cut and fit many small pieces.
4. Strip a band on both sides, add a few strips making a pattern or swirl or swoosh and then fill in.
Advantages: Unique look.
Disadvantages: More pieces to fit.
