: At what point during construction do you remove the strongback and forms, and
: how do you accomplish this?
: Thanks Jack

Jack;
Here's the order that I like;
Strip the hull
Glass the hull
2 fill coats.

Strip the deck
Glass the deck
2 fill coats

Lift the deck off the forms. If you were careful with the glue,or used a plastic barrier, it should come off easily you may have to tap some of the forms or slide a thin saw blade between the stuck parts.

Glass inside deck,set aside.

Lift the strongback/forms out of the hull.This may take a little work but go slow and get the forms loose from the hull by tapping and sliding a flexible putty knife between the form and the hull. The ends may prove the hardest , work on the end that seems the easiest, you may need to poke a hole thru the end form and use a screw driver to pry the forms loose. When one end is loose you can lift the whole frame out like removing the bones from a fish!

If you need to pry, use a block to pry against to protect the shear edges!

After sanding , glass the inside.

You are now ready to join the halves, but decide what you want to do with bulkheads and foot braces. Some things are alot easier to do before the joining

This sequence is not cast in stone but it works for me.
Hope this helps
Regards Terry

PS Nicks book gives a good description of the removal.
