: I am about to do my addition of Glass to the deck of my S & G Tandem.
: This is a first for me. I am concerned about the best way to trim the
: Fiberglass edge overlap onto the sides of the hull. I am planning on first
: adding blue masking tape 1.5 inches down my hull. Then, I plan to add the
: glass and trim to the tape line 2 hours after epoxy coating.

Do not, under any circumstances cut, the fiberglass by cutting into it against the hull. It will leave lines that will forever haunt you (I know). You can apply masking tape and cover paper below that, let the fiberglass overlap, apply the epoxy. While it is green simply use a single edge razorblade (in the window scraping holder is best), or a utility knife, and slice the overhang off. Kind of like slicing a turkey. You can then scrape the edge, and/or apply fill coats...and continue on. Epoxy is very forgiving stuff, looks ugly while you are working on it, but a little water application will show you that the ugly will disappear.
