Bob,

Home Depot has a black self stick foam weatherstrip tape #06635 from a company named M-D. It is 3/8 inch thick and 3/4 inch wide. At this width too much pressure is needed to compress the foam, but I cut it down the middle so it is only 3/8" wide and it works good for me on my Coho. If you can't develop enough pressure to compress the gasket once it is installed, trim the width a bit by tapering it with a razor blade after it is installed. You can gradually narrow it to the point where you should be able to compress the gasket enough to make a good seal.
