:Too late for this time, but a better idea in the future is to apply the tape to the interior of the deck or hull so that it will overlap when the two are joined. Hold the tape in position with a dot of hot melt every 4" or so. Then brush in the epoxy once the hull and deck are joined. You'll need to tape the brush to a stick to reach the ends.
