Dear Pika--

Don't do 1.5 foot end pours. Fillet and tape as far as you can on the inside. Then, if you're feeling insecure, tape the outside. If you have sharp curves to tape around on the outside, make your own strips of tape by cutting pieces out of your cloth on a bias. I really like the CLC sheer clamp method of joining hull and deck, which avoids much of this problem. Keep your end pours ASAP (as small as possible). Even if you add lightweight fillers, epoxy end pours are heavy.
