I saw the post describing this method earlier but didn't see how to combine it with the other methods being used. On my kayak, the deck-hull seam is wired together, tacked between wires with dookie schmutz, wires pulled after tack welds harden, then filleted and taped. Glueing tape in place prior to wiring and tacking means I would not be able to either tack or fillet without making a mess of the tape. Pushing wires through holes might tear it up, too.

Looks like a nice, neat way of joining if the deck sits quietly on the hull without wires, straps, staple gunning, etc., though.
