JD, while the NKSB by ChrisK is useful for general construction info and motivation for building there is obviously a bias for the technique of pregluing side panels with a sheerclamp then bending them with a spreader stick as a prelude to the actual stitching of the hull with a one piece deck to finish. This technique affects the final hull shape to a degree that other s&g techniques are not. It's kind of like comparing solid axles and independent suspension on sports cars,,both work,,and both will get you from point A to B.
: I am considering building a 'stitch and glue' kayak. I was wondering if there
: are any good books out there to help me get aquainted with the method.
: Thanks in advance. JD
