: Did anyone else get spam from Actionfish?

Yep. I was thinking they'd gleaned email addresses from this BBS, but then it seems a few others here didn't get their 'newsletter'. I haven't been many other places online kayak-wise; the only place that comes to mind is a couple of kayak registries that I put my information on.

I can understand their wanting to get the word out, but when you get their email and think to yourself, "hm, I wonder how they got my email address..." it doesn't make a good first impression.

I did peruse their site and sent them an email because I couldn't find much on their building materials and hull shape details. Eric Lazo sent me a detailed email back; he was just working that information up to add to the site soon and sent me a response with materials information and a few .jpg's of hull sections. They supply 3/16" full-length cove-n-bead strips, which is a nice given that Newfound and Noah's only supply 1/4" strips.
