Some other people on this board have experience with peeling glass, not because it was a structural failure, but because they had an older boat that they wanted to sand and re-glass. Apparently, it is not that difficult to strip even properly bonded glass. Once they get a corner loose and grab it with pliers (a little heat helps) they can strip the whole boat with little effort.
So I'm not sure if you've got a failed bond or you've got glass without a fill coat and maybe not even fully cured epoxy that is behaving normally. It doesn't sound like it took much force at all to strip the glass off. Is there any chance of contamination during the long storage of the glass?
