Try putting the boats on edge side by side. If that doesn't work you can get a wider rack (thule or yakima or two 2x4s) that fits on your current rack. I drive a tahoe but I have been known to put three kayaks on edge on top, or two canoes with two kayaks on top of the canoes, or three canoes in a tripod, or on one occaison two canoes with three kayaks on top. It looks best when I have the bike rack on the rear or a trailer.
