: I have 6 oz E cloth, and am trying to decide on just one layer of 6oz or a
: sceond "football" patch over that on the bottom of the hull. My
: 2 Pygmy's only have one layer, but do have a 2" rub strip down the
: keel. Any suggestions, and if it is recommended, how do I do 2 layers?

On my Outer Island I first did a full layer of 6oz and then followed it up with a 6oz football layer. Some people lay it up in reverse order. I'm glad I have both layers ... it's proved very durable. If you glass the football area last ... use the tape trick discussed in the link ... it'll save you a lot of time and agrivation when sanding/scraping frayed edges and loose threads.
