What brand/style router bits have folks used when making their own strips. I have a decent router table setup and would like to get the bits soon to take advantage of the upcoming winter dark hours.
On the same subject, is it best to err on the thick or the thin side of 1/4" when ripping strips (speaking now about dealing with the bead and cove radii, not concerned about the strength or weight of the final product),345 and how important is it to thickness plane or otherwise "clean up" after ripping the strips on a table saw? This assumes that I use the table saw rather than the bandsaw for ripping, as most seem to advocate.
Off for a few days of Thanksgiving family commitments and paddling Elkhorn Slough with a great bunch of kayakers! See you there, Larry!
