Just want to go back and make a comment about ripping your strips. The process of milling your cove and bead is much easier if you have well ripped strips to start with. For ripping I used a thin kerf skill saw blade that I got at Home Depot, it is a Freud TK503 7-1/4" 14-Tooth Thin Kerf Remodeling Blade. I also used a blade stiffner to reduce the vibration of the blade. This should result (it did for me) in a strip that will be quite smooth, enough that you don't have to run it through a thickness planner. If you use a feather board, good fence and a run-off table long enough to support your boards it should work fine. As for dimension I ripped my strips right at 1/4 inch and had no problems with milling the cove and bead.
My cove and bead bits are from Lee Valley. Worked very well.
