Greg,,I was refinishing a 5yr old Coho a few months ago and was able to pull a strip of 4oz cloth from under the deck between the coaming and sheer after sanding/rounding off the bottom edge of the coaming. Surprised the heck out of me. I guess cutting the edge of the wood and glass lifted an edge of the glass up and like a scab I couldn't help but pull it. Just because the glass can adhere to the wood may not mean that the bond to the wood will exceed the tensile strength of the glass. Why not contact JR Sweet or the other glass suppliers for the low down on the shelf life for the sizings. I still am not sure on what conditions and shelf life applies for silane/volan.
