Yo Guys

Well I almost have two halves of an expedition single. My 70 x about 15 foot cove and beaded strips were just about enough for the hull and deck. If only I hadn't over stripped the cockpit hole by 1 form, ruined two strips setting up the cove and beads and made so many judgement errors . I still have a few scraps around, but doubt that there would be enough for the recess.

I was just wondering if anybody had built an expedition without a recess and what their thoughts, regrets etc. were.

I am away for a week, so I get a week to think about the enormity of the idea, before buying some more strips.

I built two guillemot s&g's, one without a recess and one with a recess. The recess does look good and feels more secure. But the one without the recess has that little bit of extra legroom for me.
