But how do you tell if you are one of 50 or one of 500,000 ? As far as I am
concerned, if ANYONE sends me mail or email I didn't explicitly ask for - it
is spam and they won't get my business, even if I was previously a very
satisfied customer of theirs, or even if I was looking for exactly the
goods or service they are advertising and hadn't been able to find it.

If you want to advertise your goods or services, you make it easy for
customers to find you by making sure you are found by search engines, not
by deliberately invading people's privacy and consuming their time !
