: stability. How, a boat with very stable characteristics in calmer water
: will seem to be less stable in chop, (considering the abilities of the
: paddler) compared to a boat that might be considered more "high

Yeah ... IMO, that stuff is usefull for a basic explanation of the mechanics but as you say, the paddler part of the equation isn't considered ... and IMO ... it's almost all paddler!
