just went shoppiung at the local kayak outfitter, and the guy was in the holiday spirit. i asked about footbraces and he sold me a set of spare rails for 5$, even WITH THE new footpads 5$ each it was only 15$ and he threw in the SS hardware. the rails came from a boat that was converted to a rudder system.

I also found 3/16th Purple bungiee to match my color scheme for $0.15 a foot.

since my signs are up, i can now get back to the boat.
