Thanks for the ideas, I didnt think of going outside the dimensions of the 2" holes I already cut for the 1.5" PVC, also using wooden dowels or closet rods as a cross hull core opens up possibilities.
It is pretty ugly, they are large holes pretty close to the ends of the boat and the PVC glares at you from many yards away.
