I didn’t make a tunnel but cut ¼ inch rounds off of a 1 inch dowel and cut a corresponding hole in the boat. Glued it in place before I glassed and drilled the center after my end pour. I drilled through the wood on each side before going all the way through just in case I didn’t line them up perfectly. The holes ended up close but not quite centered but looks more finished than just drilling the boat.
