Ricardo! Thanks for getting back to me.

: Najad is one of Björn Thomassons designs www.thomassondesign.com
: Björn is a very skilled kayakdesigner and a very skilled paddler too.

I visited the site, impressive...given the language barrier... I was able to make out some of those designs in the headers of the page...sleek.

: These two kayaks was built by two of the members in the studycircle, I was
: the so called teacher, master or mentor.

Do you make your fellows call you "sensei"? :)
You should be proud that you were able to lead the group through the processes involved, with such excellent results!

They all did their best and a
: large bit more and the circle ended up with 7 strippers and 1 S´n´G. Mint
: pieces!

Yeah, I'll say those boats are "mint". Bodacioius...Awesome... Totally Sweet...Fly....

: Najad is a long sleek kayak 5.80 x 0.55 meters

So that translates to about fifteen to seventeen feet?

. This two weights in at about
: 23-25 kilos.

And a kilo is about what now?...$500-$1000US?

: Yes, that was one source of inspiration, like one construction from Australia
: (just now I forgot his name, sorry, I´ll find it later) that was
: floormounted.
: Not me, Bert did this job! The other Najad-builder was Bertil.

He should be very pleased! Was it his first boat? Tell him the folks on the KBBB are sqawking about the excellent finish!

: The pedals are reused from the cockpit-cutout.

I was wondering about a use for that stuff! After I cut out the cockpit of my own project, I was left with this round cambered piece, and really no idea how to make more use of it...you know, trying to respect the tree and all...now I have a use in mind....maybe for the next boat(s)....Maybe Mike Allen and I can share our scrap collection.

Thanks for the response Richard! Hey, how's that art display going for you? I hope you end up with your "smiling face, on the cover of the Rolling Stone"...or Sweden's equivalent.

Bill
