: Interestingly enough, this is also on the warranty notice: "This product
: is manufactured by One World Technologies, Inc., under a trademark
: license from RIDGID, Inc. This means that either Ridgid has setup a shell
: corp for the new tool line or somebody else has done the tool investment
: and now pays a fee for Ridgid's name and distribution program.
Chris, If I remember correctly from the woodworking boards, One World Tech makes Metabo tools. A little research on the Metabo site may verify this.
By the way, how agressive is it compared to the PC sanders? How's the vibration compare? I have a Dewalt 6" ROS that is the side grinder style. I think it is the DW443. It's fairly agressive, but due to vibration I get numbness in my hands and arms after sanding for a while. That's why I bought the Festool 125 5" ROS sander, plus I don't have a palm ROS. The Festool is light and has much less vibration, but less agressive than the Dewalt.
