I too had problems with that strip. After several failed attempts this is what worked for me.
I took several strips and ripped off the beads and the coves and wound up with thinner strips.
Then I put two strips (one for each side) in a simple steam box, steamed them, and clamped them in place as best I could. I let them dry and they held some of the curve.
Then it was time to create a rolling bevel. Althought it looks difficult, once you get the hang of it, it isn't that bad.
Then I forced the strip into place, glued and clamped it.
I think I repeated the process at least twice and therefor had 2 thinner strips with rolling bevels before I went back to using full width strips.
The end result wasn't pretty, but when I went sanding (after the deck was done)all the ugliness disappearred in a cloud of dust.
I would suggest to just jump in and do it...it will all turn out ok.
