You can see the three pads made of wood. The pad at the back can be glued on using contact cement just on the ribs and piece of wood, but the pads at the side were matched to the seat contour by buttering the two pieces of wood with a two part plastic and mashed into the waxed area so it will seperate out. You can use auto fender mending two part plastic for this. I used Tuff Carve but you won’t be able to get this. Then clean the wax off of the seat underside and sand it to rough if up and also lightly sand the underside of the pads for the contact cement you will use to make a good adhesion. Then coat the under seat and wood pads with the contact cement and press together when dry. Mine has held up well through all of the planning and sanding. Then starts the tedious job of matching the hull to the seat. You can see the blue chalk on some of the ribs and pads, which shows the good match between the hull and seat.. Hope this helps.
