: I knew it had something with the ball sports to do. I dont get to well along
: with all these ballsports.

Me neither, though I can appreciate the good play, and while I root for the home team (Green Bay Packers), I don't keep up with who plays what and what any given player's stats are. I'm more into the sports I can do...like paddling.

Billiards and mini-golf I can stand.

The sign of a mis-spent youth, I've been told.

Here at
: home we only have the two public-service and one commercial channel, it´s
: called "forest-tv" here.

What? No Cartoon Network?...what do you folks do at night?... on second thought, you don't have to answer that.

I bought my colourtv in 1972 and its
: still going strong with a picture that can match modern tv-sets with
: atleast fivehoundred channels, stereo, surround, dolby and this and that.

Must be made in Sweden!

: That´s interesting! I look it up in the encyklopedia and learn me something!

Cu-bit (n). An ancient unit of linear measure, originally equal to the length of the forearm from the tip of the middle finter to the elbow, or from 17 to 22 inches (43.18cm-55.88cm). "The New College Edition, The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language", (1978)

: Well, the first layer is on and the edges is trimmed. Right after pressing
: submit I will go down to the workshop and put on the second layer.
: Now you will ask: why two layers?

"Why two layers?"

And I will answer: The shores around our
: lake, where we paddle the most, are covered with remains from the old
: mining tradition we have. Debris from this is glasshard and sharp, like
: obsidian.

A boat maker's worse nightmare! Definately a "get out and carry the boat to shore" situation.

I put on two layers and spare me some repair later. And it´s
: easier to double then just lay a keelstrip.

Yeah, and much prettier than a skid strip...you know, those plastic things that some people put on the keels of their boats...kind of ugly on a wooden boat, but not so obtrusive on a plastic one. Ever consider using graphite powder mixed in with the epoxy? I've seen it as an accent on the stems of some canoes, though never on a kayak.

: I will connect later this night and show some pictures.

Good, hurry up!

: So long

Be well Richard. Thanks for the response here.
