Chip,

Ditto on Mike and Marcel's comments. I did the drilling route w/o the jig. A few came out ugly, but they worked out well. I was concerned with the mortices being quite over-sized for the rib stock, but was glad to have them so when trying to insert the soaked-steamed ribs in place. They can swell significantly. Once pinned, they won't pop out. Just try to keep them "square" when lashing the stringers and keel on.
