I have ash for the masik and coaming, and oak for the ribs (I just realized that I neglected to mention the ribs in my original post).

I'll use the doug fir for the gunwales, chines, stem plates and deck beams. As I mention in one of my other responses, I think I'm stuck with it unless I just hold onto it for another project and buy more wood for this.
