In Response To: Epoxy: Does epoxy stick to acetate? (pikabike)

: I read the suggestion at One Ocean Kayaks' site for applying an
: inkjet-printed label. Vaclav says to apply and squeegee a patch of
: polyethylene on top of the epoxied label so that bubbles are squashed out
: and the paper doesn't try to lift off. When the epoxy hardens, you just
: peel off the polyethylene.

: The art supply store I went to did not have polyethylene sheets but they did
: have acetate in several thicknesses. Can I use this for the same purpose
: or will the epoxy bond to it?
The hardware store has the polyethylene, drop cloth roll will last a life time for this use.
: Also, will the water-based injet inks smudge when epoxied? I've done the inkjet thing many times with no problems. I print to the 4oz. fiberglass cloth and wet it out.
