As a firearms owner, I'm appalled at the behavior of these idiots. It's inexcusable, plain and simple! The fact that the authorities condone it is even more outrageous! I'm sorry to hear that there is nothing you can do legally, as it's certainly not fair that someone can move in, terrorize you and force you off your land and into bankruptcy. It's hard to believe that such a thing can happen.

Up here in NH, we have the opposite problem. That is, developers building houses around existing shooting ranges, then trying to shut them down. That's equally unfair, but we have laws that "grandfather" the ranges in and protect them. I know that it doesn't help you, but please keep in mind that what you experienced is not typical of firearms owners in other parts of the country. If find this all deeply troubling.
