Absolutely disgusting. In this so-called land of the free, honest men and women aren't even free to live in safety in their own homes.
All I can ask is that we all think about situations like this come election time next year, and consider the "solutions" our elected leaders are using to solve problems that seem to be created by them to begin with.
And before anyone out there wants to start waving the flag and screaming jingoistic garbage like "love it or leave it", I spent the first half of this year "loving it" in Iraq as a front-line medical officer with the Marines.
One post earlier recommended watching the movie "Bowling for Columbine". I also highly recommend it.
Mike, stay safe and keep your head down. Try calling the news media if you haven't gone that route yet (although you might not want to do that while you're still living there, considering safety issues).
