: has anyone use twopart flotation foam for the end pour instead of epoxy?
: are the end pour for sealing or strength? foam should seal and the added
: float should be good?
You get no added flotation if the foam is poured into a closed area. Your floatation is from the trapped airspace betweenthe bulkhead and the end of the boat. If you have no bulkhead or trapped airs space then your foam would provide flotation-- but you would certainly have much more flotation provided by float bags, dry bags, or empty soda bottles in a mesh bag.
The end pour is for sealing any areas you can't get at in any other way. Styrene and similar foams are no match for epoxy resin as sealants, and they are not that great in the strength department, either.
don't waste your money playing with these foams for this job.
