Your question is a good question. It is the same reason that all of the pictures we post show the deck and not the hull. We like the appeal of an artistic deck when in reality the hull is much more critical when it comes to boat characteristics. There are two functional reasons for a S&G hull, weight and strength. You can make a stronger lighter hull but you can not match the complex (compound) curves of a strip (although some designs are getting much closer)
