...a cartoon image Donnie has posted on his counterside at Waters Dancing. The cartoon is of a guy who just completed building his canoe. The guy is crying into his elbow while leaning on a counter-top because he reversed his forms for the bow so that it is backwards. I laughed out loud when I saw that, remembering how I managed to reverse a cockpit-hull panel on my first kayak by gluing it upside down onto the bow and stern panels. When I tried to tie that reversed section of the hull to the other pieces I couldn't figure out how those big gaps appeared other than to think that Donnie must have mislabelled the panels. I went to chat with Donnie about his error and got a stern "we never make THAT mistake" lecture. I went back, checked things out and humbly went back to beg for mercy for making a bad assumption. Jeff smiled at me for weeks before "letting it go". He never mentions it any mroe because he's busy flogging the dead horse story about my plunge through the rapids. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to live that one down.
