: I`ve had problems with chemical bonds in the past - the epoxy peeling off the
: second or third coat. I let the second coat cure fully and then sand
: lightly, which also removes any amin blush - something of a problem here
: in the cold and damp area of Bremen, Germany. I get the best results with
: this mechanical bond.

I built strip canoe curing and sanding between each coat. And I built two S&G kayaks by seal coating, glassing and applying three fill coats in 24 hours. I much prefer to let the fill coat flypaper cure (sticky but does not come off on your finger) and then apply another seal coat. As long as I don't have drips and junk stuck in the epoxy I see no need to stop, cure and sand between coats I use Raka epoxy in SoCal weather (warm and dry) and have only seen light blush after several days of cure.
