In addition to the pockets you can see, there's another one between the padding layers on the left side, just inside the zipper. Another great feature is that under the zipper, there are two straps with Fastex buckles that hold the vest closed. This allows you to wear it unzipped for ventilation. It's Coast Guard approved for wear in that manner.
