What would increased density do to maximum hull speed?

It might be that you would hit hull speed sooner, but could start planing with less force. Think about ice, the ultimate in resistance to paddling, it would cause you to "plane" on your very first stroke of the paddle.

Also, aren't any gains or losses in water resistance offset, at least partially, by gains or losses in the "traction" your paddle has in the water. Though your paddle would be harder to push, the same # of stokes per minute would result in more pushing power in more viscous water.

I still stand firm in my position that this is a ridiculous argument.(Though I was the one who started the one about kayak sledding)

Again, this is all just my opinion.
