: I'm looking for another project. A stitch & glue maybe. I would like it
: to track straight and be fast. Any ideas.
: Thanks
Hey, Mark-Track straight and be fast? S&g? Pygmy Osprey HP. Runs like it's on rails, whopping wide turning radius, so fast I can keep up with stronger paddlers, who are generally younger; a young guy weighing about 175 lb. in good shape could make this boat fly, and still do long weekends in it. I more than top it out as a day boat at 210 lb.; loaded for a weekend at Assateague Island with 20 lb. of water and gear it's still fast, but handling tanks. It's damn near wind neutral; initial stability is low, but that translates into quick correctional body English in rougher water. If you're a heavier guy look at the Pygmy Coho, it's nearly as fast, more maneuverable, higher capacity. I paddle occasionally with a guy in his late fifties who paddles a Coho; he's a little guy, 150 lb. soaking wet, and he out paces the group regularly. As an added plus, both of these boats have truly beautiful lines. Hope this helps.- Greg
