: the joint where the coaming strips meet the deck is quite weak, at least

: I plan to put a sealer coat of epoxy on the deck before removing the deck to

Nicks book recommended using some roviing, and I just used some extra layers of glass cloth, and I also re-inforced the inside of the hatch where the risers meet the hatch opening. This has been a very strong riser that has held up well for me.
