"2 olympic medals in 1948" is the key.
that should be enough to get a judge to place the eviction on hold until you get historical landmark status. definitly local, mabe even national landmark.
call you local historical society and get them involved. i dont know how much lawering money you have to throw at it, but i would also contact all your members looking for legal advice.
you have to do it quick, because if you leave you loose.
get the press involved call the news station and raise a big stink. we are going into an olympic year. the county will not want to be prtraied as anti "american".
your NBC station will want to know about this, especially if they have an invistigative "TEAM." bring them video of the club events with lots of spectators and crowd cheering. preferably somthing that clearly show the location of the club. and bring the paperwork to the press.
if the olympic medalists are still alive get them involved too.
