Invisible sanded fiberglass bits remind me of the velvety-looking-but-painful spines from blind prickly pear cacti. Once they're in the skin, you can't see them but you sure can feel them, and they don't wash out.

But I found out that sealing tape removes the invisible tormenters. So does cellophane tape, though not as well. Duct tape would surely work also.
