Dave,

Thanks for the feedback! I'm delighted to hear the cargo capacity is adequate. From what I've heard, the King sounds like the ideal all-around boat to build. My New Year's resolution is to build a boat, and I've pretty much settled on building the King.

A few final questions: Did you modify your King in any way? Or does the original plan support the cargo capacity you described? Also, any complaints?

: I don't know the capacity in square feet or such, but I took my King down the
: Sacramento River from Redding to the Delta, took a couple of weeks.

: made to the kayak was to enlarge the front hatch, used the rear template
: for both. Short answer, yes it will support a 2 week trip just fine.
