It depends on what you want to use it for. Inflatable boats are best used for white water (Tom Yost asside). The whole boat is somewhat flexible and the extra flex in the foot brace is not a big deal, not to mention they have knee/thigh straps to make the connection stronger. If you are trying to put one in a SOF or a wood boat, then there are better options that are cheap. REI, duckworks, and chesapeak lightcraft among others sell real foot braces.
Out of curiousity, were you looking for a solid foot brace replacement or did you have other ideas?
