: not a good idea for yost's. They claim adjustment of 13.5 inches.
: Harmony's website points out 19 inches are needed. In actuality, 35 inches
: are neccessary for them to work fully. My sea otter is modifies to allow
: my shorter coaming to work with it. I just moved the "masic"
: form closer to my backrest giving me 28.75 inches of space between masic
: and foot beam. It is not enough for full adjustment of the foot braces,
: but it does allow 7.5 inches of movement with the furthest forward being
: 3.5 inches from the deck beam. From what I can remember 28.75 inches is
: more space than most Yost designs, so therefore there is not much room for
: adjustment.
: The design does apear to be an excelent design with very easy adjustment and
: easy attachment. As you can see from the picture, I just screwed them to
: my gunwalls.

Ohhh....looking at the pictures now I understand about the adjustment. I think I'd just mount it (assuming you've got enough room, some of Tom's designs aren't exactly loaded with foot room) on a board mounted inside the frames then you'd have full adjustment of the footpegs. Personally I prefer the peg to hit me more at the ball of the foot rather than at the toes.
